Prompts for RWJ, Prompt 126

I’ve been thinking about NaPoWriMo’s Day 11 prompt. The challenge is “to write a poem in which you closely describe an object or place, and then end with a much more abstract line that doesn’t seemingly have anything to do with that object or place, but which, of course, really does.” She gave James Wright’s poem as an example. I also came across Amy Lowell’s poem which works in exactly the same way. So I was thinking you guys might want to try it. Seriously. Writer’s Digest’s Day 12 prompt is of course, to write a serious poem. 🙂
